## The objective: A trade shop that did not reach the back office

Lemonfield is a long-established garden ware supplier in Limerick, serving around 400 regular trade customers through its online shop.

The site was slow and awkward for repeat buyers, with prices missing in places and no simple way to reorder. Orders placed online were printed and typed again into a legacy accounting package, so the stock shown on the site did not match the warehouse. Warehouse picking still ran on printed lists, and there was no central customer record for follow-up.

## Our approach: Fix the website first, then join up the back office

Through the Local Enterprise Office's Digital for Business programme, AppAdvisor ran a website audit and mapped a trade shop joined up to the back office. The work was staged so the lower-risk website fixes come first, ahead of the bigger system changes.

The recommendations focused on three areas.

- **Easier trade ordering**: Trade pricing and one-click reorder for returning customers.
- **Orders straight to the accounts**: The webshop feeding the accounts so nothing is rekeyed, with a tidier picklist and warehouse flow.
- **Keeping trade buyers coming back**: A CRM to follow up with the 400 trade customers, with cloud accounting, website security and GDPR behind it.

## The outcome: B2B ordering and website changes as the first steps

The business took forward the B2B ordering improvements and a set of website changes, the lower-risk fixes first: trade pricing, one-click reorder and an easier site for repeat buyers.

Behind those, the plan joins online orders to the accounts and the warehouse, and gives the business a record of every trade customer for follow-up.

What the business received:

- A website audit, with the website changes to make first
- A B2B ordering plan: trade pricing and one-click reorder
- A staged plan joining orders, accounts, warehouse and customer records
- A full system proposal with best-practice recommendations
